February 2026 Holiday Activities

In 2026, we are delighted to offer our February holiday club at three different locations combining exciting activities and high quality childcare, from a provider with over 10 years' experience. ​

​We open at 8.15am and close at 5.45pm, Session cost is £46 a day for 9.5hrs of childcare
Children bring a pack lunch, we will provide an afternoon snack.

Once you decide which days you would like to book you may book online 24/7 or email us the dates you need and we will get back to you within 1 business day - office@daddydaycareedinburgh.com​​

Once your child is registered with us each online booking is approved within 24hrs and your invoice will be issued after approval. This is the point any discount is applied so you will see it on the invoice we email to you. Once your full payment is made your child's name will be added to the register.

Nature Day
Its February, its cold but children still love being outside. So today we celebrate national bird week by making some feeders and taking them to a local green space.

Animal Day
An animal themed day with a mix of arts and craft activities, outdoor animal games and a visit from the Animal man who brings over a dozen animals for the children to meet and handle.

Dance Day
Today the children will need their dancing shoes! We have a professional dance coach coming in and we have hired silent disco equipment for the children, and possibly the adults!

Crochet Club

For the first time Daddy Daycare is offering a small three‑day Holiday Crochet Club, where imagination, colour, and creativity come together. Designed especially for children aged 5–12, this hands‑on club introduces young makers to the calming, confidence‑boosting world of crochet. No experience is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to try something new.

Over the course of three fun‑filled days, children will learn the basics of crochet through playful, age‑appropriate activities. With gentle guidance, they’ll practise simple stitches, explore textures and colours, and gradually bring their very own crochet creature to life.
Like all our after school clubs we will also offer outdoor activies along with fun arts and craft creations to keep all the children engaged.
By the end of the three days, every child will proudly take home a handmade octopus or snake—perfect as a keepsake, gift, or new cuddly friend. Spaces limited to only 24 children so book quickly to avoid missing out.

Terms and conditions
Travel - Prices are inclusive of any trip entrance fees, all the activities we provide and an afternoon snack. Children attending Animal Day at Morningside do need to bring their free Scottish Government Bus Pass or £2.60 cash as they will be traveling to Newhaven to see the Animals.

Scheduled activities - Please note that the fee is for 9.5 hrs childcare, not for specific activities. As we live in Scotland we will sometimes need to change the activities due to weather. So for example If we are due to go to the botanical gardens or a park but its raining that day and sunshine the next day we will swap the days around.

Cancellations - Cancellations 28 days or more in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations with under 28 days notice will not be refunded or removed from your account unless we are able to find another family to use your session and will still need to be paid for. Any cancelled day is subject to a £4 admin fee.

Children should bring a pack lunch with them each day. Lunch is normally eaten between 11.30 and 12.30pm so we provide a healthy snack in the afternoon.
